The educational offer of the Rubens Project meets the expectations of the cultural and artistic educational curriculum, as well as of the Belgian – Flemish and French – educational projects.
The educational itineraries of the Rubens Project are unique
– The flexibility of the programme and the modularity of the stays: this programme can be adapted to the level of the group (from French CE2 to Terminale or from the 3rd degree primary school to the 3rd degree secondary school), to the language aims (programme available in French, Dutch, English) and to the chosen length of the stay (from 3 to 5 days). This programme doubles visits with artistic encounters and workshops.
– An all-inclusive programme: with the Rubens Projects, teachers are offered an educational file that lets them prepare everything before and after the trip, through a digital platform. In doing so, they can concentrate on educational questions, not having to bother with practical issues such as accommodation, transport and reservations. Transport and full-board accommodation – in a youth hostel – are arranged prior to departure for every student and teacher or guide. Reservations can be done online through the website. A local coordinator is present to help with any questions the educational teams may have.
– An offer in three languages: French, Dutch and English.
– The use of new technologies: new technologies such as the digital platform, tablet computers and smart boards are used to create digital works, thus leaving a trace of the trip.
Modular itineraries that are adapted to the educational programmes
The itineraries meet the expectations of the programmes and the aim of the cultural and artistic education.
The Rubens Project doubles visits with artistic encounters and workshops to create diversified and cadenced experiences. While the visits take place in Antwerp, the workshops are organised within a specially designed building at the Lycée Français International Anvers. Young artists, designers and speakers of all artistic fields will host these workshops.
“S’initier au patrimoine régional, national et international, porter un regard avisé sur les villes […], retrouver à travers les monuments, les sites, l’architecture, l’urbanisme, l’art, la musique, […] les traces de l’héritage proche et lointain de l’humanité et les grands repères historiques appris en classe, redécouvrir ses propres racines et revaloriser un savoir ancestral […] ” Rapport annuel des Ecoles Associées 2012-2013, Réseau National Français des écoles associées à l’UNESCO
Every project will make use of IT. Each student will be able to use these tools and look at his realisations through the digital platform. The workshops will also make use of IT, by e.g. creating multimedia books, photographic reports,…
